Are pets welcome at Agricamper hosts?
Over 90% of Agricamper hosts are happy to welcome your furry friends, provided they are kept on a leash and under control.
Unlike many traditional campsites that may restrict or limit pets, or even refuse dogs altogether, Agricamper hosts focus mainly on respectful behaviour and safety rather than on a strict rule about the number of animals.
Each host decides whether they accept pets, so it is important to check the information for each stopover before travelling with your dog or cat.
How to find pet-friendly hosts in the Agricamper app
In the Agricamper app, you can quickly see which hosts accept animals.
Tap the funnel icon at the top right to open the filters, then activate the “Pets allowed” option in the “Services” section. The map will then show only pet‑friendly locations along your route.
When you open a host’s details, look at the “Services” section:
- If you see “Pets allowed”, the host accepts dogs and cats under the conditions indicated.
- If there is no mention of pets, you should assume that animals are not accepted at that stopover.
Good practices when travelling with pets
To respect the hosts, other travellers and the animals on the farm, please follow these simple rules:
- Keep your pet on a lead and do not allow them to roam freely around the property.
- Be particularly careful near farm animals, crops and children, as a dog running loose may cause stress or unexpected reactions.
- Always pick up your pet’s waste and, if necessary, rinse urine with water to keep outdoor areas clean and pleasant for everyone.
By following these guidelines, you can enjoy a relaxed stay with your dog or cat while ensuring a positive experience for the host and for future Agricamper travellers with pets.
