How to know if there’s an available stopover at a host?

To check the availability of a stopover at a host, you need to use the Agricamper application, specifying the desired date and time of arrival.

If there are no more available spaces or if the host is closed, the app will not allow the completion of the booking.

For how long can I stay?

Each individual stopover allows for a free overnight stay for one night or a maximum period of 24 hours.

Any potential extension of the stay is not within Agricamper’s jurisdiction and must be arranged in advance with the host, adhering to their conditions.

Is it mandatory to buy products at the host?

You’ll never be required to dine or make a purchase in order to stay — the freedom is absolute.
But because everything is based on mutual trust and respect, even a small gesture — like buying a jar of jam, a bottle of wine or some olive oil — carries great meaning.
It’s the only form of “payment” for those who host you freely and with simplicity.
A tangible way to say thank you — and a chance to take home something genuine, local and delicious.

When you arrive at an Agricamper farm with your motorhome, campervan or caravan, you’re getting more than just a place to park for the night. You’ll meet farmers, winemakers, cheesemakers — real people who open the gates of their land with passion.

That jar of honey, that bottle of wine or that basket of vegetables you choose to buy is not just a kind gesture. It becomes part of your journey. Because every purchase is an encounter, a new flavour to share at your table, a taste of the land you’re discovering.

Buying from your hosts:

  • supports the local economy;
  • allows these farms to keep welcoming travellers like you;
  • enriches your experience with authenticity and flavour.

And yes, think about it: what you’d usually spend on a paid campsite or motorhome area can here become good food, wine, and healthy, zero-kilometre products.
It’s not a cost — it’s added value.

A simple, respectful, spontaneous gesture that benefits everyone — including you.

If no one made purchases, this model couldn’t exist.
Supporting these small producers helps keep entire rural areas alive — areas often overlooked by traditional tourism.

And if you don’t need anything that day?
Think of a small gift for someone you love. A gesture that’s good for you, your host, and the future of sustainable travel.

This is Agricamper: a living network built on people, trust, and conscious choices.
Thank you for being part of it.

Can I bring my dog or cat?

Over 90% of Agricamper hosts are happy to welcome your furry friends, provided they are kept on a leash.

To easily identify hosts that accept animals, download the app (also available in the Demo version): simply apply the “Pets allowed” filter in the “Services” section, and on the map, you will see only these hosts.

Moreover, upon entering the structure’s details, you will find information about the acceptance of dogs or cats under the “Services” section.

It’s important not to allow your pet to roam freely, as it might appear threatening to other animals in the area, triggering unexpected reactions.

Be responsible pet owners: pick up your pet’s waste and, if necessary, clean urine using water.

What are the reasons behind the free stopover?

One of the reasons behind the free stay is that the hosts are not obligated to provide additional services beyond the 24-hour stopover.

However, Agricamper hosts are keen on showcasing local products to visitors. The more visitors they receive, the greater the chance of selling their fresh and sustainable products.

You won’t feel pressured to make any purchases, but the owners are confident that once you’ve seen the quality of their locally sourced products and experienced their hospitality, you’ll find it hard to resist making a purchase!

Even if you decide not to make any purchases, your positive experience will be shared, encouraging more campers to visit these hosts.

What types of vehicles are accepted?

Agricamper hosts are mainly farms and other businesses that are not classified as campsites or farm campsites. For this reason, only fully self-contained vehicles are accepted in the Agricamper network, such as motorhomes, campervans, or self-contained caravans equipped with an internal toilet, grey water tanks, and an internal kitchen. Portable toilets, both chemical and composting, are also allowed.

Please remember that the disposal of grey and black water must only be done at official dump stations, in full compliance with regulations.
You can find on our app a map of dump stations across Italy where you can refill fresh water for free and dispose of grey and black water at no cost. We kindly ask you to respect the hosts and the surrounding environment by avoiding any kind of waste or damage.

Which vehicles are accepted

  • Motorhomes: hosts may accept motorhomes of various sizes depending on the space available, including large ones (+3.5 T / +7.5 m).
  • Panel Van Conversions and Camper Vans: self-contained vehicles with an internal toilet and wastewater equipment. Portable toilets are also allowed.
  • Self-contained caravans: caravans equipped with an autonomy package, allowing them to stay without external connections, thanks to a battery for energy, fresh and waste water tanks, and a usable toilet on board.

Important: The vehicle must be officially registered as a leisure vehicle, as stated on the V5C logbook: Motor Caravan for motorized vehicles such as campervans and motorhomes, or Caravan for towed caravans.
Without this registration, the vehicle remains legally classified as a car (M1) or commercial vehicle (N1) and is not allowed within the Agricamper network.

Which vehicles are not accepted

Bicycles, motorcycles, cars, cars with rooftop tents, ground tents, or trucks used for overnight stays are not allowed within the Agricamper network, even if equipped with a portable toilet or other improvised sleeping solutions.
