Can I bring my dog or cat?

Over 90% of Agricamper hosts are happy to welcome your furry friends, provided they are kept on a leash.

To easily identify hosts that accept animals, download the app (also available in the Demo version): simply apply the “Pets allowed” filter in the “Services” section, and on the map, you will see only these hosts.

Moreover, upon entering the structure’s details, you will find information about the acceptance of dogs or cats under the “Services” section.

It’s important not to allow your pet to roam freely, as it might appear threatening to other animals in the area, triggering unexpected reactions.

Be responsible pet owners: pick up your pet’s waste and, if necessary, clean urine using water.

What are the reasons behind the free stopover?

One of the reasons behind the free stay is that the hosts are not obligated to provide additional services beyond the 24-hour stopover.

However, Agricamper hosts are keen on showcasing local products to visitors. The more visitors they receive, the greater the chance of selling their fresh and sustainable products.

You won’t feel pressured to make any purchases, but the owners are confident that once you’ve seen the quality of their locally sourced products and experienced their hospitality, you’ll find it hard to resist making a purchase!

Even if you decide not to make any purchases, your positive experience will be shared, encouraging more campers to visit these hosts.

What types of vehicles are accepted?

Agricamper hosts are mainly farms and other businesses that are not classified as campsites or farm campsites. For this reason, only fully self-contained vehicles are accepted in the Agricamper network, such as motorhomes, campervans, or self-contained caravans equipped with an internal toilet, grey water tanks, and an internal kitchen. Portable toilets, both chemical and composting, are also allowed.

Please remember that the disposal of grey and black water must only be done at official dump stations, in full compliance with regulations.
You can find on our app a map of dump stations across Italy where you can refill fresh water for free and dispose of grey and black water at no cost. We kindly ask you to respect the hosts and the surrounding environment by avoiding any kind of waste or damage.

Which vehicles are accepted

  • Motorhomes: hosts may accept motorhomes of various sizes depending on the space available, including large ones (+3.5 T / +7.5 m).
  • Panel Van Conversions and Camper Vans: self-contained vehicles with an internal toilet and wastewater equipment. Portable toilets are also allowed.
  • Self-contained caravans: caravans equipped with an autonomy package, allowing them to stay without external connections, thanks to a battery for energy, fresh and waste water tanks, and a usable toilet on board.

Important: The vehicle must be officially registered as a leisure vehicle, as stated on the V5C logbook: Motor Caravan for motorized vehicles such as campervans and motorhomes, or Caravan for towed caravans.
Without this registration, the vehicle remains legally classified as a car (M1) or commercial vehicle (N1) and is not allowed within the Agricamper network.

Which vehicles are not accepted

Bicycles, motorcycles, cars, cars with rooftop tents, ground tents, or trucks used for overnight stays are not allowed within the Agricamper network, even if equipped with a portable toilet or other improvised sleeping solutions.

Are there restrictions on vehicle sizes?

Based on the available space, the hosts accept various types of vehicles:

  • Standard campers
  • Large-sized campers: over 3.5 tonnes / 7.5 meters
  • Caravans (camperized)

Accessing “Profile” and selecting “App settings“, you need to choose the category of your vehicle: camper or campervan, large-sized campers, or caravans.

By changing vehicle, do I need to purchase a new Agricamper membership?

If you have an active subscription and change vehicles (which must always be autonomous), you don’t need to purchase a new subscription; simply update the license plate of the new vehicle.

Once you have obtained your new vehicle registration plate, please contact us by email with your first name, last name, the email associated with your account, and the new plate number. We will take care of the update.

Once the license plate number has been updated, please close or uninstall the Agricamper app to view your updated registration plate number.

You’ll be able to continue traveling within the Agricamper network with the new vehicle until the expiration date of your current membership.

Which registration plate should be used for a caravan?

When you reach the checkout stage and need to enter your vehicle details, we kindly ask you to specify exclusively the registration plate of the caravan.

Please remember, the associated registration plate should solely belong to the caravan and not to the towing vehicle or other means.

Therefore, while inputting your vehicle information, focus solely on the registration plate of the caravan you intend to use for membership and parking at Agricamper sites
